Our Process of Refinishing Kitchen Cabinet
With our non-intrusive kitchen cabinet refinishing method, kitchens remain clean and usable throughout the week. We only spend three days in the home, and the rest of the process is completed off site in our shop. This allows home owners and tenants to enjoy normal life while their kitchens undergo a vast transformation.
Stages of Our Process
To start the cabinet coating process, we remove your existing cabinet doors and drawers from your cabinet frames and take them to our shop.
At the shop, the cabinet doors and drawers go through several stages:
Stage 1: We wash, sand, prime, repair cracks and blemishes, and caulk any gaps in the cabinet doors and drawer fronts.
Stage 2: All of the pieces then receive 2-3 coats of our commercial-grade acrylic coating, applied in our contaminate-free spray booth.
Stage 3: After the final coat of acrylic or glaze is on the doors and drawer fronts, we spray on a clear, protective coat of polyurethane.
During the process, we spend three days in your kitchen coating your frames.
Day 1: We wash, wet-sand, and tape off your kitchen the first day.
Day 2: We repair, caulk, and spray the primer, acrylic and clear, protective polyurethane coat onto all exposed surfaces of your cabinet frames, including the inner and underside ilps of the frames, toe-kicks, side panels, and/or crown molding.
Day 3: Once the frames are completed, we re-install the cabinet door and drawer fronts, as well as any new knobs/pulls, to complete the process.”
